Since 2001, I am working as a senior researcher and project manager
at the Institute of Data Analysis and Process Design (IDP), Zurich University of
Applied Sciences ZHAW. My field of activities includes the analysis, modelling, simulation, and control of transport systems (road traffic, pedestrian traffic, processes in transport facilities) as well
as investigations on technologies and methods for the collection and analysis of data from transport systems.
Besides my research activities, I am teaching the course "Transport Systems 1" at ZHAW.
Since 2007, I am a member of the executive board of the IDP.
Before joining the University, I was engaged in the industry for
over ten years, conducting various R&D projects focussed on the development
of sensors, control devices and low-power equipment for measurement,
transport, communication, and security systems.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from
the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (formerly HTL Brugg-Windisch), and a professional
degree as an Electronics Engineer obtained by ABB Switzerland.
